AASP & CASE to Jointly Develop Programming

11-Jan-10 07:27 | Brian Dowling (administrator)

The Association for Advancement Services Professionals (AASP) and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) announced on December 23 that they had signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on the development of educational programs determined to be of value to the advancement services profession

"Capitalizing on the strengths of both organizations, the plan is to start participating in several joint efforts - while still continuing our respective independent programming - as early as the spring of 2010," according to AASP's President, John Taylor.  According to Matt Konetschni, Director of Educational Programs for CASE, "we look forward to working with the leadership of AASP, most of whom are long-standing CASE volunteers, in the development of programs for the advancement services profession".  Details are forthcoming, but plans will be made for the development of various online and in person training opportunities geared toward advancement services professionals throughout the nonprofit community.
