Advancement Services Comes Of Age

John Taylor, president of the AASP, recently sat down for an interview with Todd Cohen of the Philanthropy Journal. The interview reflected Taylor's belief that our profession, Advancement Services, is key player in the pursuit of higher charitable revenue and lower fundraising costs..

The article touched on the humble beginnings of Advancement Services as a discipline. From a very small conference in 1990 to an AASP Summit that will host over 200 participants in 2010, our profession has enjoyed tremendous growth and recognition.

That recognition is also noted in the pay given to Advancement Services professionals. According to the CASE survey, Advancement Services is next to the top for all of Advancement in terms of compensation.
