These are the items that we will have in store for you as a member of the AASP:

  • A forum to post questions regarding advancement and development services and operations. 
  • A resource for links and content for the profession, including original white papers written by experts in the field.
  • Publishing of more wiki outlines for Best Practices covering many areas of Advancement Services operations. 
  • Professional development opportunities.   
  • A national conference and annual meeting – slated for autumn 2010 in Chicago.

How to Become a New Member

Process your membership online with your credit or debit card.  Offline payment options are also available.

How to Renew your Membership

Renewing Members: 

1.  Log in to access your AASP membership

2.  Select Online Application/Renewal from the left column menu

3.  The next window will provide a highlighted message that reads “You are already a member.
    Edit your member profile or log out if you want to use this form to add members.

4.  Select the option to “Edit your member profile”.

5.  Once the profile page loads, select the button to “Renew until [next expiration date]”
    located in the top 
panel titled Membership Details.

6.  Another window will appear and offer an opportunity to update the member profile;

    - if changes are needed choose the “Yes” radio button, make any necessary modifications
    then select the “Next” button and follow the prompts for renewing membership.

     - if no changes are needed choose the “No” radio button then select the “Next” button
    and follow the prompts for renewing membership.
 

 

Important Note Regarding AASP Membership:

AASP welcomes all members with an option to pay personally or by having an institution pay on behalf of the individual member.  AASP does not accept organizational memberships; membership dues paid by an institution must be assigned to a unique individual.  Memberships paid with personal funds are readily transferred to new employment status by updating the individual membership record.  If circumstances necessitate a reassignment of membership paid by an organization, the balance of an active membership can be transferred upon the provision of documentation reflecting that the current member is no longer employed at the institution or has transferred internally to a position no longer associated with advancement services.
