Ann L. House, President | Ann House Consultants, Inc.

After retiring from a 40-year career at the University of Miami, Ann House began philanthropy consulting. Her clients included Big Brother Big Sisters, Barry University, Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida, Miami Dade College Foundation, Jackson Health Foundation, The Alliance to Support the Nation Parks of Florida, and the Tropical Audubon Society. She serves as an emeritus board member of the Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida and a member of the Villagers.
At the University of Miami, she served as Associate Vice President for Advancement Services managing functions such as prospect management, gift agreements, data management, talent management, orientation, training, financial reporting, budget, personnel, policies and procedures, and facilities for a division of 350 employees. During her tenure, she supported three comprehensive campaigns with totals exceeding $3.5 billion. In 2016, she was awarded aasp's Jonathan Lindsey Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ann received her M.B.A from the University of Miami and her B.A. from Duquesne University. Ann also held various roles with the Boy Scouts of America over the course of twelve years. Ann and her husband, Jose, like glamping and enjoy the outdoors.

Dr. Wayne Combs, Associate Vice President, Operations & Administrative Services | CHOC Children's Foundation

Dr. Wayne Combs is a leader in campaign and advancement management with 30 years of experience supporting higher education and healthcare.  He serves as Associate Vice President of Operations and Administrative Services for CHOC Children's Foundation. At USC Rossier School of Education, Dr. Combs teaches courses in Creativity and Innovation, Strategic Communications and Change Management, and Economics and Finance in the Organizational Change and Leadership doctoral program. In support of philanthropy, Dr. Combs delivers presentations on emerging trends while serving as Past-President for the Association of Advancement Services Professionals, Faculty for AHP Madison Institute and Chair/Faculty for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
