March 2018 Message from the President
Tuesday, March 13, 2018
What an exciting time to be President of AASP. After 10 energizing years of growth, we have refreshed our visual identity and messaging to better reflect who we are and who we serve. If you haven’t had a chance, please visit the website to see our updated mission and vision, core values, history infographic, and of course, our new visual identity.
As a future-focused industry leader, AASP is dedicated to helping you tackle what’s now and prepare for what’s next in advancement services, regardless of the nonprofit sector that you call your professional home.
I hope you will take part in learning from and sharing with your colleagues at AASP’s upcoming professional development opportunities, including the March 22 Best Practice Webinar on technology adoption; two remaining Regional Symposia, in Washington, DC, on March 23 and Atlanta on March 30; and Summit 2018 this November in Chicago. Attracting attendees from a variety of nonprofit sectors, these events create a space for collaboration and growth to advance careers and share best practices to support the mission of our organizations.
On behalf of the Board, it is our hope that you take away from the revitalized AASP brand that we are enthusiastically committed to pursuing the work we do to support our profession, the success of our members, and the prosperity of the organizations that each of us serve on a daily basis. If you would like to let me know your thoughts about the new brand identity, don’t hesitate to share. I would love to hear from you!
At the start of AASP’s second decade, I will look forward to celebrating the successful future of all nonprofits, advanced by the contributions of AASP’s diverse network of informed and empowered advancement services professionals.
