Dear Members,

By now you are aware that this is AASP’s 10th anniversary year and Summit planning is well underway to make this year one to remember. Registration is open and the program committee has been hard at work assembling quality speakers and sessions to support this year’s theme, “Impacting the Changing World of Philanthropy.” This year, our Summit program will not only feature five educational tracks full of expert presentations, but also a full slate of pre-Summit workshops and sessions.

These five, pre-conference sessions are designed to dive deeper into areas of particular interest to the different segments of our profession, including executive-level professionals, newcomers to the profession, data analytics specialists and more. View our pre-Summit sessions here and stay tuned for our full Summit 2017 preliminary program, to be published soon!

To ensure costs don’t prohibit anyone from attending Summit, AASP is pleased to offer three Summit scholarships this year (one more than last year) to encourage attendance by practitioners from organization types identified as under-represented among our membership, as well as small shops. The scholarship covers registration, one year of membership and some travel costs. Read more and apply by August 1.

Finally, nominations are being accepted for our 2018 and 2019 AASP Board of Directors. We have a unique situation this year with three incumbent Directors whose first terms are ending. Each is eligible for renewal and all have voiced interest in a second term. Please go to the 2018 Board Nominations page to learn about the process and make your nominations.

Best wishes for a happy summer of fun in the sun!
