aasp welcomes all members with an option to pay personally or by having an institution pay on behalf of the individual member. aasp does not accept organizational memberships; membership dues paid by an institution must be assigned to a unique individual. Memberships paid with personal funds are readily transferred to new employment status by updating the individual membership record. If circumstances necessitate a reassignment of membership paid by an organization, the balance of an active membership can be transferred upon the provision of documentation reflecting that the current member is no longer employed at the institution or has transferred internally to a position no longer associated with advancement services.

“In my 40 years of Advancement Services experience, I have learned that the most essential thing one can do for their career is to belong to an association where one can network with their peers. There have been so many times in my career when I have called on colleagues at other institutions with questions regarding best practices or other issues. The friends you make because of your membership in aasp will greatly benefit you for your entire career.”
