Join us virtually over three weeks to deep dive into key areas of Building Great Relationships. Learn more about what's to come below. Advancement Services performs and supports valuable work in all aspects of an organization. It is extremely important to understand and develop better partnerships at all levels. This includes Internal, Intra-Institutional, and Extra-Institutional partners. This three-day workshop will focus on helping your Advancement Services shop identify strengths and pitfalls in your relationships with partners and how to effectively improve them.

Day 1 | July 18: Internal Partnerships – What are your partnership mechanisms with your development programs (pipeline management, portfolio optimization, sharing analytics to drive decision-making)? Advancement services has many of the answers, but how do we get other areas within advancement to best utilize information developed in advancement services?  How can advancement services get in front of these partners to share information and drive better decision-making more effectively?  

Day 2 | July 25: Intra-Institutional Partnerships – How do you establish and improve communication among your institutional partners? How do you communicate the need for information sharing? What mechanisms or approaches have you put in place to facilitate efficient communication? What approaches do you use to better understand the priorities of these partners and create opportunities to exchange value through partnership?  I

Day 3 | August 1: Extra-Institutional Partnerships – How do you set up clear expectations with your vendor/consultants? How do you ensure you are getting the full value of the relationship?  Are you getting training, access to resources, and peer groups? How do you create a balance between accountability and full utilization of services? How to get your staff to feel more confident and assertive? What mechanisms are used to create positive feedback when getting value from the partnership, instead of always focusing on the issues - affirmation?
